Green Tara Practice

With Venerable Gyalten Samten

Join us to learn and practice a powerful method that allows us to connect with and grow our inner nature of enlightened compassion. The practice of Green Tara is a powerful and complete sadhana (practice) that is beneficial for students of all levels. The practice incorporates meditation, purification and contemplation.

Venerable Gyalten Samten met His Holiness, Dalai Lama in 2001 at Dharamsala. She was deeply influenced by the Buddhist philosophy and the concept of Boddhicitta.

She gave up her successful Bollywood career to embrace her inner- calling to be a 'nun' in 2012. Following the advice of her Guru, Venerable Thubten Zopa Rinpoche she took monastic vows with His Eminence Venerable Choden Rinpoche at Sera Monastery, Karnataka, India.

(Trivia has it that she is one of the first Indian woman be a nun in the Tibetan Monastic tradition from the non-Himalayan belt of India)
