Exploring the nature of awareness and its objects: a half-day retreat in the style of Sayadaw U Tejaniya.
Date: Sunday, March 24
Time: 1:00 pm - 6:00 pm PST
“What is awareness?”
“What is the nature of awareness?”
“What are the objects of awareness?”
When we practice in the style of Sayadaw U Tejaniya, we emphasize “awareness and its objects” in the context of our direct experience. When we pay attention in this way, we learn how the mind works and we grow in wisdom and peace.
“Ehipassiko” is the Buddha’s invitation to “see for yourself,” to experience the benefits of this practice. We invite you to join us for a half-day retreat where we will explore the nature of awareness through guided meditation, talks, and discussions.
This retreat is appropriate for new meditators and anyone who wants to deepen their practice. The retreat is freely offered and any donations will help support the teacher and maintain the space.
