Fingerpainting for Advanced Humans

Creative Flow Practice using fingerpaints. Chögyam Trungpa’s Dharma Art meets Cy Twombly. In this class we learn to easily shift our internal paradigm to induce pure, authentic expression, tap into our creative flow state, and calm and clear the monkey mind. No creative experience or art supplies required.
Lines of Compassion, Lines of Intuition
Sunday, May 13 at 1-4pm
Brush and Ink Practice allows us to drop into our own personal flow, and fully embody our creative genius. We can experience more clear, subtle, and fearless states of mind, and explore a deep sense of peace, freedom, and a higher state of inspiration and clarity of purpose. No creative experience or art supplies required.
Suggested Donation: $25 - $40 per class ($50 - $80 for both)
You may register for one or both classes.
Please pay at the highest level of the sliding scale that you can afford. This helps us make sure those who pay less can attend. Whatever you pay above the lowest end of the sliding scale is a tax-deductible donation to Middle Way LA. No one will be turned away due to inability to pay. About the Teacher: Since 2008, Douglas Paul Smith has been a teacher of contemplative art and meditation in New York, Los Angeles, and other major U.S. cities. He has been a working Visual Artist and Designer for over 25 years. He studied Yogic Philosophy and Meditation in the traditions of Tibetan Gelugpa, Shambhala, and Zen Buddhism extensively, and is formally trained as a Dharma Arts instructor at Shambhala Art International, in Los Angeles. As a contemplative arts enthusiast, he has practiced Zen Calligraphy for many years under the tutelage of Master Yoshi Nakano.
