Traditional Chinese Medicine Workshop
8,000 years of wisdom
Sunday, November 11, at 10:30 - 11:30 am
With written records dating to 3,000 B.C.E. and an oral tradition dating back to 6,000 B.C.E., Traditional Chinese Medicine is considered one of the oldest and most respected systems of holistic medicine in the world. The foundation of Chinese Medicine is the energy force known as Qi.
Qi (chee) is the basic life-force that pulses through everything in the universe. Commonly referred to as the breath of life, it is the energy that creates and animates material and spiritual being. This workshop will emphasize acupressure points and Qigong. Qigong, which combines meditative and physically active elements, is the basic exercise system within Chinese Medicine.
Qigong exercise and acupressure are beneficial for:
- Immune system enhancement |
- Lower and mid back pain |
- High blood pressure |
- Sadness and grief |
- General pain and inflammation |
- Tension release |
- Sinus problems and headaches |
- Overall relaxation |
- Constipation and diarrhea |
- Alertness |
When Qi is balanced and harmonious you will be able to maintain health by creating a state of mental and physical calmness.
