This course covers a compact and powerful overview of some of the most profound teachings on the heart and mind Buddhism has to offer. From logic to lodging (developing a good heart), philosophy to feeling, analysis to love, this final review course of the ACI curriculum treks the entire span of the two wings of compassion and wisdom. We’ll be covering patience, joyful effort, meditation, and wisdom according to Shantideva’s Guide to the Bodhisattva’s Way of Life, Buddhist logic and debate, Lojong texts, or how to develop a compassionate heart, and discovering what the Buddha really meant in his various teachings, looking at differences between the Mind-Only and Middle Way schools. There is no better smorgasbord of Buddhist teachings for long time students to kick their practice into high gear, or first-timers to get a great introduction to the wealth of the Buddha’s teachings. Come soar set your spiritual side on fire!
